Jessica Alba Sues Weight Loss Firm

Jessica Alba, who has recently given birth to a child (Haven), has sued a weight loss firm with the charges being use of her likeness and image to garner more sales and profits.

The Hollywood actress and star, who is also a mother of two, sued after she found out that the firm, which specializes in post-pregnancy weight loss, was using her image to promote their products. This is both illegal as well as unfair, according to the star – who has sued for $1 Billion in damages, including a claim for a share in profits and revenue of the firm.

While Ms. Alba is new to such scams, the weight loss industry is full with it. With the advent of new age appetite suppressants like hoodia gordonii or pure hoodia products, the demand from consumers who wish to lose weight in a jiffy has shot through the roof. This has made it easy for scams and inferior products to duplicate the pure hoodia products and sell them off as genuine.

The Jessica Alba episode showcases the point that while actresses or stars may genuinely be attached to the brand promotion of a fat loss supplement, to take it on face value will be hara-kiri for your own health! In fact, if you are looking for weight loss through products like hoodia gordonii and such, research and recommendations are the only keys that can get you to the right products in the right time.

Don’t you agree too?
